Tuesday night firefighters were dispatched to Rockdale Road in North Whitehall for a reported structure fire. While enroute do to numerous calls a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Once on scene crews had a fully involved structure and requested multiple tankers to assist with water supply and put master streams in service.

Just last night, Niki Rasor pitched her company Firefighter Turnout Bags (FFTOB on FB)on Shark Tank asking for $250k investment for 33% of her company. In the end, Nikki would receive two offers for deals. She ends up choosing a 50% stake in her company for $250k.

It is refreshing to see more and more firefighters talking about this topic. BC Scott Steiner asks us all to be an advocate for mental health in your department.

The Cleveland load (aka Metro load or Roundabout load) is handline load primarily used for high-rise applications from what I have found. Other applications would be when deploying a handline not pre-connected to the engine.

However, to me it isn't that you climb or even how you climb...it is that you take the time to remember...take the time to share with younger firefighters, friends, and family about the sacrifices made on that day.

Carbon County Stations 7, 1 and 2 were dispatched at 12:22 for an apartment building fire at 226 Delaware Avenue.
