Fire Critic An Unadulterated View of the Fire Service
TheFireStore.com recently sent me a True North: Frontline Defender Pack to review.
While I don’t fight wildfires, I understand the need for comfort. I can tell you that this pack sits on your back and hugs your waist in comfort. As a matter of fact, I am wearing mine right now as I write this article. They have put a lot of thought into the H-style harness and ensuring comfort. Stay hydrated with the built-in 3L Hydration System. There is a removable New Generation shelter case that can be rear mounted (fits Standard and Large shelter). The Defender pack also includes a pocket which will hold fusee’s and keep them protected from the elements. The pack includes plenty of attachment points for more equipment.
Now, if only we can make SCBA’s this comfortable…

I would recommend this Defender Pack to others, and I will give it a 5 out of 5 stars.
While I will likely not be able to wear this product on the job since I work in an urban setting, I am certain that wildland firefighters will love it!
