PGFD Ladder Truck 832 Involved in Crash – Civilan and Firefighter Injured. Truck Might Be Total Loss

PGFD Truck 832 was involved in a crash this morning. A civilian and a firefighter were injured. Both vehicles might be a total loss. The truck is a 2012 Pierce Arrow XT that cost $850,000. A video included below goes over the ladder truck.

A civilian vehicle and a Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department ladder truck were involved in a crash this morning injuring both drivers and possibly totaling the 2 vehicles. At about 7:30 am, Thursday, February 6, a Dodge Ram struck Truck 832 in front of the Fire/EMS Station.  The ladder truck is assigned to the Allentown Road Fire/EMS Station at 8709 Allentown Road in Fort Washington.  The ladder truck was not on a call at the time of the crash.

Ladder Truck 832, Allentown Road, is one of the newest pieces of apparatus owned by Prince George’s County.  It is a 2012 Pierce Arrow XT with a 105-foot ladder.  The cost to purchase the truck was $895,000.
