At least one Detroit Councilman is not in touch with one of the most vital City services…The Detroit Fire Department. Detroit Councilman George Cushingsberry Jr. voices his thoughts on Detroit Firefighters.
As many of you know, I just got back from a trip to Kalamazoo (link) and Detroit, Michigan (article coming soon). While there, I didn’t meet a firefighter I didn’t like. As a matter of fact, every member I met with the Detroit FD amazed me at how kind they were, at how they smiled, and at how they have overcome insurmountable odds.
Yesterday, Detroit Councilman George Cushingsberry Jr. shared the following on his Facebook Page:
“The Detroit Fire Department is the Best Bed and Breakfast place to work. Especially for young people. Apply today!”
I first thought that his FB page was hacked, but then realized that he had actually left the post online AND continued to respond to comments.
