Video: Family Dollar Burns in Detroit

Companies were dispatched to a reported fire in a Family Dollar Store at McNichols and Joseph Campau Street in Detroit. Chief 8 arrived and found smoke coming from the occupied commercial building, and requested two additional companies for RIT and manpower. Early on the chief ordered that no companies to enter the building or go on the roof due to the construction of the building and the large HVAC units on the roof.

Video: House Fire in Detroit, Michigan

STATter911.com had a story today on the Detroit FD. One part of that story claims a 21 minute response time. Read more about those issues here. I give you something else, another house fire in Detroit. Prior to the video rolling, a person had to jump for their life in a house fire on Doyle Street in the East side on Monday.
