Helmet Cam: Pleasant Hill VFD House Fire (NC)

Pleasant Hill FD in Eastern Wilkes County, NC fought this fire this past Wednesday. Units arrived to find a single story dwelling well involved. Firefighters made a quick exterior knockdown using an 1 3/4″ line and a 2″ line (pictured in the video). One crew made an quick primary search of the south end of the home. Once the search was completed, the crews went into defensive operations until the fire was extinguished. The house sat on a small narrow country road. Thanks to water supply operations in a rural setting and mutual aid departments, they were able to have 6000 gallons of water on scene within minutes and a hydrant 1/4 mile away. Mutual aid departments: Austin Vol. Fire Department, Ronda Community Fire, Department, State Road Fire Department, and C.C. Camp Fire Department.
