On November 11th, there will be a a draw down in Greensboro, NC to benefit Brian “BB” Bradley. In March, Local 947 member and Greensboro FD (NC) Engineer Brian “BB” Bradley suffered a stroke one morning at his firehouse. BB’s initial prognosis looked positive and his doctors projected that he would be back on the job in a few short weeks. While in the hospital, however, BB suffered a second stroke which almost proved fatal and would ultimately force him to retire early. As you may know, North Carolina currently has no presumptive disability legislation in place and, as a result, BB’s stroke was not covered under worker’s compensation.
