A veteran Oakland firefighter suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday when a fire truck he was driving rolled over during a drill at Oakland International Airport, authorities said.
The firefighter was alone in an aircraft rescue rig when it tipped over on a taxiway during a turn in front of the Oakland Maintenance Center at 11:43 a.m., said Sean Maher, an Oakland city spokesman.
