The building at 333 Central Avenue, where the fire started, collapsed as firefighters battled the early morning blaze. It was later demolished. The building at 335 Central Ave. also suffered heavy damage and officials have not yet determined if the building must be demolished.
Two firefighters suffered smoke inhalation and were sent to the Jersey City Medical Center, where they were treated and released, Jersey City Assistant Public Safety Director Jerry Cala said.
