Erin FD (TN) Fire Engine Wrecks on the Way to House Fire – No Injuries

erin firetruck crash

Erin Fire Department (TN) Facebook page:

A City of Erin fire apparatus was involved in a single vehicle accident today at approximately 1319 hours on Rocky Hollow Rd in Houston County. City of Erin Fire units were responding to a mutual aid call of a structure fire when the incident occurred. The firefighter driving the vehicle escaped injury. Fire Protection for the City of Erin will not be interrupted. Incidents such as this have a tendency to be misconstrued, whether it be due to word of mouth or media. We urge all citizens to ‘pull to the right when you see lights.’ When you see emergency services vehicles responding to calls, they are going to help someone during the worst moment of their lives. We appreciate the thoughts and prayers for the volunteers that provide these life saving services to our community.

Erin Fire Chief Danny Warren said trucks from the Erin Fire Department responded to a mutual aid call from the Houston County Fire Department just after 1 p.m. and Deputy Chief Brad Hindman was driving Engine 3, EFD’s front-line response truck.
