Fire Critic An Unadulterated View of the Fire Service
Video by: BoxAlarmDetroit. Video info: At approximately 11:00AM on January 21st, 2014, 7th battalion was dispatched to a fire in a commercial truck garage at 3950 Lonyo Street. First arriving companies reported several vehicles on fire inside the building, which quickly became fully involved. HAZMAT was requested for burning oil, tires, and propane tanks. Crews went into a defensive posture, and brought the fire under control in under an hour. Cold temperatures (10F) caused hoses and fire hydrants to freeze up. No one was injured, but the building was a total loss.
