Fire Critic An Unadulterated View of the Fire Service

WEST DENNIS – Around 8:49 p.m. Friday Dennis Fire Alarm received reports of a possible structure fire at 86 Surfside Road off Loring Avenue Extension near West Dennis Beach.
A Dennis Police officer was first on scene and reported a house ablase. When the first engine arrived on scene the single-story ranch was fully involved in fire. It took crews from Dennis and Yarmouth about twenty minutes to bring the fire under control.
The dwelling was unoccupied. The Dennis Fire Department reports the owners live in Oregon. There were no injuries and no damage to adjacent homes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Dennis Police and Fire officials and the Massachusetts Fire Marshal’s Office. The investigators cleared the scene around 12:37 a.m. Saturday.
