Fire Critic An Unadulterated View of the Fire Service
Video from sparkywfd: Multiple calls came into the fire alarm office around 9:30 on Thurs Jan 10, 2013 for a building fire on Front St. Arriving companies saw heavy fire venting from the 1st floor extending to the 3rd floor of the 18 unit apartment complex with people running out of the building.
A 2nd alarm was quickly transmitted as companies initiated an aggressive interior attack. Fire extended into the 2nd and 3rd floors of the main fire building plus extended into the 3rd floor of the side 2 exposure. A 3rd alarm was struck bringing in mutual aid companies to assist the already taxed Woonsocket firefighters who fought another 3 alarm fire hours earlier on Lincoln St, which is only a mile from the Front St fire.
