Video: Little Ferry, NJ House Fire Includes FD Featured on The Chive. Firehouse Damaged by Sandy.

The Moonachie (moo-NAH-kee) Fire Department is merely one of the firehouses ruined by Hurricane Sandy. Similarly, Moonachie Firefighters are merely one of the departments who continue to roll down the street answering calls despite the storm and losing apparatus, gear, equipment, tools, and much more. We also must not forget that these firefighters also had tremendous losses at their own homes too.

What sets the Moonachie FD apart from the others is that they have The Chive Nation behind them. The Chive set the goal at raising $30,000 for the Fire Department. Photos on the article show firefighters battling a fire in the snow. That fire was also captured on video as seen below.

About the Fire – Little Ferry, NJ 2nd Alarm Fire at 185 Woodland Avenue on November 7, 2012.

Dave Statter also posted this video here…but we can’t expect him to KCCO.
