Fire Critic An Unadulterated View of the Fire Service
On September 12th, Captain Wines Jr. and I head to South Dakota. Our trip will take us across the State and culminate with the South Dakota Firefighters Benefit on the 15th in Sioux Falls. The event benefits the National Firefighters Endowment and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Please join us if you can. If you are anywhere near including North Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, or elsewhere we want to hang out with everyone we can! We don’t know how often we will be in South Dakota. This is my first time in South Dakota, I am not sure about Willie.
The event is being held at the Sioux Falls Ramkota Exhibit Hall on September 15th.
You will actually get to hear Willie and I speak that evening. We will give a short motivational speech after dinner. More info on hearing Willie and I speak near you here!

Bob Gard and Adam Frick are the guys who have spent hundreds of hours planning this event. We will be travelling across the State in Spartan ERV fire apparatus.
This is the event that could re-invent State Firefighter Conventions.
So many State firefighter conferences are hurting for attendees. If they were to create an event like Bob and Adam have and build the conference around it they would certainly be taking a step in the right direction.
