Medal Of Honor Recipient Dakota Meyer Tells FDNY He Will Wait. States He Doesn’t Want Special Treatment.

Sgt. Dakota Meyer, the latest Medal of Honor recipient, has told the FDNY he doesn't want any special treatment after a federal judge approved the FDNY of opening up the application process for one more day. That "one more day" was solely for Meyer, and he declined. Dakota Meyer, a 23 year old Marine, received the Medal of Honor from President Barack Obama on September 15th. Joining the FDNY has become Meyers latest goal. However, caught up in all of the events surrounding receiving the Medal of Honor, Meyer missed the application period.

This Just In…Detroit Continues to Burn

The third fire was interesting because of the reverse lay. That isn't something my department does everyday. Then as you continued to watch, the firefighters don't put water on it. Beer Gifting Citizen Apologizes to DC Firefighters Who Still Await Discipline

Dave Statter had the story last week about a Washington DC firehouse that was shut down by Fire Chief Kenneth Ellerbe after a case of beer was found in the fridge. The firefighters were tested for alchohol and all came up negative. However, the firefighters still face discipline for having the beer. Now, Clem Cypra has come forward as the gift-giver. Cypra brought it to them after they put a fire in his house.
