Backup crews from neighboring towns and Essex County had to be called in to help fight the flames and carry some people who were trapped inside the building to safety.

2 Alarm fire in Hackensack, NJ caught on video. Plenty of work being done by the handful of firefighters on scene.

East Orange, New Jersey Firefighters were busy on September 8th with a three alarm fire in a vacant apartment building. The apartments are located at 83 North Walnut Street. Firefighters from East Orange Fire Department, Newark Fire Department, Bloomfield Fire Department, and Montclair Fire Department were on scene.

This fire occured on April 3, 2011. The three alarm fire was at 824 Mountain Avenue in Westfield, New Jersey.

Moore was also a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Hope Hose Fire Company in Bordentown, New Jersey. Moore was posthumously named Chief of Hope Hose Fire Company and will be named honorary Mayor of the Bordentown at their next meeting of the City Commission.

A four-alarm fire ripped through an under-construction condominium complex early Wednesday morning in New Jersey. The intense blaze began at about 1:30 a.m. at the four-story building located at St. Georges Avenue & Stone Street along Route 27 in Rahway. The fire appeared to have consumed the complex's top floor and rooftop.

The video below shows the fire shortly after the crews arrived on scene. The fire began in the basement. No cause has been determined yet. Obviously the fire was a stubborn one as the fire and as you can see from the video in the previous post completely destroyed the building. Five firefighters were injured fighting the blaze.

A Union City fire devastated two adjoining residences, collapsing one building and displacing 23 people, according to today's Jersey Journal. The four-alarm blaze that started about 2:30 p.m. in the basement of 3807 Park Ave, North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue Co-Director Jeff Welz said. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze within four hours, but continued to battle flames that were fed by a ruptured gas line after 3809 Park collapsed around 6 p.m.
