2 Alarm Fire in Glendale, California

At 0130 hrs. on November 27, 2010 Glendale, California Fire Dept. units arrived on scene reporting heavy smoke and fire showing from a two-story hillside single family dwelling in the 800 block of Brockmont Drive. The blaze quickly self-ventilated and a second alarm was soon requested. Flames could be seen from miles away as crews battled to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported.

Sounding the Roof. Truck Company Operations Showcased in this Apartment Fire in Monterey. Video Shows Decent Operations including Roof Work and Forcible Entry.

The Monterey Fire Department responded to a residential fire at a 3 unit apartment building at 698 Spencer Street on 11/12/10 at 11:29 a.m. Mutual aid was provided by the Pebble Beach Fire Department, Pacific Grove FD, Seaside Fire Department, Monterey Peninsula Fire Department, and Monterey County Regional Fire. Video: Firefighters Battle AC Transit Bus Fire in Berkeley California

The Berkeley Fire Department has put down a fire that broke out aboard an AC Transit bus at the intersection of Dwight Way and Shattuck Avenue. According to Sabina Imrie, assistant fire chief for special operations at the department, the first call reporting the blaze came at around 12:35 p.m. She said the back portion of the bus was on fire when firefighters from the department arrived.

Firefighter Nation has the story of the Roseville Galleria Fire in Northern California here. City officials said part of the roof on the mall's south end collapsed as huge clouds of black smoke poured from the 1.3 million-square-foot Roseville Galleria, which is about 17 miles east of the state capital. A supposed armed man had barricaded himself in the mall and set the place on fire.

San Bruno, California Hillside Explodes in Flames; 12 plus Houses Burn

Firefighters are on scene of a large fire in San Bruno California. Neighbors heard an explosion before the fire. Some believe they saw a plane go down. Over a dozen houses have been lost. Video here shows the flames shooting almost 100 feet in the air. Not too much wildland involved at this time per radio. There are water supply issues due to water main breaks in the area.

Total Loss House Fire in Las Lomas and Taking Care of the Exposures!

When I think of exposures I think of houses nearby or maybe a propane tank. Sometimes this means the apartment next door or above. Never has it occurred to me that the exposure could be the countryside. As you can see in this video, their exposure is the potential of this house fire turning into a brush fire or wildfire that could consume acres of land and other houses.

Incredible Video: Helmet Cam Footage of a Dog Being Revived After Rescue From a House Fire

Oakland, California - (Helmet Cam) Firefighters performed rescue breathing on a dog that was found unconscious/unresponsive in a house fire. The dog was found at the backdoor in the kitchen, pulled from the building with minor burns and initially had a respiratory rate of 40+. Firefighters performed rescue breathing for approx. 12 minutes and as you can see survived. The owner was not home at the More..time so they decided to bring the dog back to the firehouse for dinner and water.
