Engine 3 on scene with a vacant 1.5 story dwelling. Heavy smoke showing from 2nd floor - fire in rear. B-56 orders Defensive Operations for all crews. 2 -2½" Lines in use + Ladder 6 Airborne & Flowing.

East side crews respond to a Structure fire called in by Buffalo PD. E-22 on scene with 2.5 story vacant dwelling. Heavy Fire in rear extended throughout. Crews attempt an interior attack with 3 lines.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this afternoon at 1320 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Busti Ave with multiple phone calls. Police were on location reporting an exposure problem and B-44 requested an additional 2 & 1 (E3, E21, L5) to the scene.

Buffalo’s bravest battled through dense smoke and heavy flames Saturday morning, to fight a stubborn house fire on Buffalo’s east side. Smoke from the fire was seen miles away from the scene.

Three Buffalo firefighters fell through the floor of a burning vacant house in the city's East Delavan-Fillmore section Wednesday night, and two of them were injured and taken to the hospital, fire officials reported. The injuries in the blaze at 145 Mohican Ave. were described by fire officials at the scene as "non-life-threatening." The nature of the fire is being described as "suspicious."
