Oil Tanker Fire off Malaysia Coast

Two ships collide off the coast of Malaysia.

An oil tanker collided with a bulk carrier in the Malacca Straits (South of Kuala Lumpur) causing both ships to catch fire. The crew of the bulk carrier was able to put their fire out while the oil tanker fire was a little larger as you can see in the photo above. The collision and subsequent fires occurred last night around 9:30pm (not sure what time zone though).

There are 9 members of the crew missing from the oil tanker Formosaproduct Brick. 16 other crew members were rescued. Read the entire story here.
