1 Million Flee Typhoon in China

1 million people have fled Typhoon Morakot on China’s eastern coast. The Typhoon hit land on Sunday and has caused severe flooding and destruction in its path. Experts are saying that the flooding is the worst in Taiwan in 50 years. The Typhoon hit the Philippines earlier leaving a death toll of 21 there.

Winds have registered around 74 mph. In China,12 deaths have been recorded.

Houses have been ruined, buildings have tumbled, and dozens of people are still missing as the Typhoon continues to cause destruction.
