Yeah, they made a pot of coffee. It meant the world to me. One F$%#in cup of coffee was all I needed. If you remember, I have been kicking myself since our last trip for NOT drinking the cup of coffee I was offered. This time I drank it...and they opened up to us more as time went on.

For the next week, today (Monday January 23, 2012) through next Monday (January 30, 2012) Zach will donate 50% of all online sales of MN8 FoxFire products to the Rescue 2 MAYDAY fund!

The beautiful thing about this project is that any department can use it as a recruitment tool. It won't matter that the video has Wyoming Fire & EMS in it, the message is the same. As a matter of fact, Wyoming firefighters encourage other departments to use it.

We got to hang out in Cincinnati and in Edgewood, Kentucky at the Kenton County Officer Leadership Symposium where I presented, with the Loveland-Symmes Fire EMS, Mason Fire EMS, Chief Billy Goldfeder, Wyoming Fire EMS, Cincinnati Fire Dept., and so many others including an Aussie Kieth Gillespie. Thanks to all for the great time!

Across the Nation, Firefighters are wearing pink for breast cancer awareness. Wearing pink may not seem like a big deal to the public, changing from the normal department issued uniform T-shirt or polo rarely happens. When I say rarely...this is the first time in my 12 years at my department that I have worn anything but my navy blue t-shirt or class A or B uniform. It is commendable that Fire Chiefs have realized the good of the campaigns and allowed firefighters to wear pink.

By now you should have figured out that I had a blast at Fire Rescue International 2011. Willie Wines Jr. and Jeff Harkey enjoyed the trip with me this year and we accomplished a lot. We got to hang out with a ton of people, some new friends, and some we have known for a while. We had a lot of laughs, had some time to reflect, and were able to continue telling people about Daily911Deals.com.

Once again, the busiest booth at the show is the MN8 Products Foxfire Illuminating technology booth 2853. Zach Green has employed Willie Wines Jr. and several others. The traffic is steady. Apparently, Zach and his company/booth are up for an award today for "best in show" or something like that. We will find out if he won around 1pm.
