E3 was first in to an apartment fire at Friendship Manor Apartments (assisted living) in Roanoke City, VA on March 20, 2014. Below is the helmet camera video from Engine 3's driver.

Engine 7 Engine 4 Rescue 1 Ladder 10 and Battalion 2 were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 3300 block of Dartmouth St. E7 arrived on scene and advised there was heavy fire showing and upgraded it to a working fire bringing Engine 10 Battalion 1 Medic 4 and EMS 2. The fire was brought under control with no injuries

Portsmouth, VA - Engine 1 Engine 4 Rescue 1 Ladder 1 Ladder 10 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to a commercial structure fire in the 1800 block of High St.

Firefighters were injured today in two separate incidents. Texas firefighters were injured in a house fire with roof collapse and Virginia Firefighters were injured in a deadly house fire where two were rescued.

If your department doesn't have a program like this you should seriously consider it. I don't imagine too many departments do have a program like the one in the City of Manassas (VA).

On Saturday, Roanoke, VA Firefighters were busy with a 2 alarm fire that burned two houses in the 500 block of Marshall Ave. SW. Two other houses suffered minor damage.

The Forest Volunteer Fire Company #5 in Bedford County, VA had an engine (Pumper 5) overturn on the way to a fire this morning. Six firefighters were on the engine at the time. Three or Four of them were transported for injuries. Two of them remain in the hospital.

The Roanoke, VA area is being hit by constant rain. If I remember correctly, I read that on July 3/4th of this year, the Roanoke River crested at the 10th highest level on record.
