Jesse Daniel Clingenpeel, 25, was a veteran of the United States Army. He joined the Army at the age of 17 on September 11, 2007. Jesse was hired in 2013 by the Roanoke Fire-EMS Department as a Firefighter/EMT and was stationed at #4 on C-Shift. He is survived by his wife Amber Clingenpeel. Jesse was a Purple Heart recipient and Wounded Warrior Project Alumni.

I am searching for all things related to the Roanoke Fire Department. This includes pictures, tools, equipment, helmets, gear, and even fire apparatus. While I will pay cash for certain artifacts, I am more interested in finding out what is out there and getting copies of photos are just fine.

E3 was first in to an apartment fire at Friendship Manor Apartments (assisted living) in Roanoke City, VA on March 20, 2014. Below is the helmet camera video from Engine 3's driver.

One of our guys did get hurt in the fire, and it was captured in the video below. A firefighter took a piece of wood to the chest. The piece of wood came off the top of the 3rd floor (the roof was already burned off).

On Saturday, Roanoke, VA Firefighters were busy with a 2 alarm fire that burned two houses in the 500 block of Marshall Ave. SW. Two other houses suffered minor damage.

The Roanoke, VA area is being hit by constant rain. If I remember correctly, I read that on July 3/4th of this year, the Roanoke River crested at the 10th highest level on record.

My Brother firefighter Michael "Mike" Peay moonlights as a blacksmith on his own and for Black Dog Salvage. His part-time job for Black Dog has recently put him in the spotlight of the new DIY TV show "Salvage Dawgs".

Lieutenant Curtis Baron Gibson is one of those guys who won't be forgotten too easily. He left a legacy in what he accomplished with ensuring our SCBA program was top-notch and up to par with his level of approval. He saw a need, realized a solution, and fixed the problem.
