Utica, NY Firefighters rescue a 4 year old girl in municipal apartment fire at 1600 block Armory Drive in Utica Friday

Upon arrival Lt. from E-401 was advised that father was still inside. Lt. made entry into bedroom, located and removed victim just prior to room igniting.

A Siberian firefighter, in the city of Magadan, trying to reach people trapped in a building is sent tumbling down the ladder after being hit by a chunk of snow falling from the roof while smoke is coming out of the windows. Thankfully, the firefighters were able to save a child, carrying the kid down the ladder.

The only thing between life and death for this woman is the metal security grate covering the window of this dwelling.

Firefighters evacuated 25 residents at a large fire in Marysville, California and then rescued one more via ground ladder which is caught on video. The fire engulfed Knockout Sports Bar & Grill and the Travelers Hotel next to the bar. The fire started around 1:45am on Saturday.

Firefighters were able to rescue a woman via ladder through a window at a deadly fire in Edmonton on August 2nd. The fire occured at Bethany Senior Citizens Home near 83rd Avenue and 99th Street. Two people died in the fire which began around 12:30am.

This is a little hard to follow, but basically firefighters use a leaf blower to get a kitten out of a pipe.

Sanchez stated "She told the story that he said to her: 'Hold on, momma, we're going to go through the fire. I'm going to get you through to the other side.' " and then [Dundore] "I bounced her off the mattress and threw her over my shoulder."

A deadly earthquake has caused devastation in Christchurch, New Zealand. 65 people have been reported dead. There were hundreds of people rescued from the wreckage.
