35 year old Lansing firefighter Dennis Rodeman died today while collecting for MDA at an IAFF Fill-The-Boot collection site. Rodeman was a 7 year veteran of the department and a Marine veteran who served in Iraq. Rodeman was married and expecting their first child.

Macon-Bibb County Fire Department Lt. Randy Parker,46, died in a house fire yesterday. Parker was a 20 year veteran with the fire department. Five other firefighters were injured in the fire. BC Steven Stafford, 59 was air lifted to Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, GA. Adam Mitchie, 34, and Ferrell Cromer, 46 were also taken to Joseph M. Still Burn Center. Matt Couey, 27, and Ben Bollinger, 28, were also transported to the hospital.

Read More »Tanker Wreck Claims the life of Firefighter John Gupton in Franklin County, NC
John Gupton, 24, died while responding to a fire alarm yesterday in Franklin County, NC. Gupton had been a volunteer since the age of 19 and was a member of the Justice Volunteer Fire Department. Gupton was driving a tanker to an alarm when it rolled over, killing him instantly. One other firefighter was injured in the wreck.
