The 2011 Christmas season is in full swing. This year will be no different. The best gifts for firefighters. Some of these are custom gifts and will require ordering...don't worry they are worth the wait!

I have been wearing these boots for 4 months and I must say that I am impressed. Other firefighters have noticed them as well. Many are always asking about the reviews I am doing. They want to know about the decent products out there. The point is that these product reviews are paying off locally as well as globally with the reach of this blog.

9/11 Memorial Stair Climb - Thursday we are climbing the stairs of the Hilton 5 times in honor of those lost on September 11th. I will be climbing with 150 other firefighters...If you didn't sign up for it, we will climb for you as well. Kevin, Willie, and I will be meeting up with Thomas Warshaw after the climb. Thomas is climbing as well. We plan on letting Thomas watch us drink a few and then he gets to drive home...sux for him! Let us know that you will be in town and we will meetup...

Last year, almost to the day, I published an article titled "ANDROID IN THE FIRE SERVICE". I had several comments and then got another one today about applications that firefighters use on their android device. Why not the iphone you might ask? The answer is because I use the Droid X and previously used the Droid. I am also fairly certain that almost all of the applications on the Android network can also be phoned on the iphone network.

Detroit has been plagued with issues for a long time. Luckily for them and the victims, no other deaths occurred due to the failed response. You just have to love the spin put on by officials when everything doesn't come together...

Here is a video of soldiers making certain improvisations while making coffee in Afghanistan. Maybe FireGeezer should send them a Bunn-O-Matic! Warning: Every other word is F$%K...hey they are soldiers, what do you expect?

The very unique thing about FireGeezer is Bill's Morning Lineup...his intro to the day about what he is thinking about much like walking in to his station to relieve the shift before and have a quick discussion before shift change. What has been interesting is how on Sunday, Rescuing Providence has narrowed the almost 150 vote lead by A Day in the Life of An Ambulance Driver to less than 100 votes. Last year, we saw the majority of the votes in the last two days. Anything can happen. It all depends on who is pulling for who and how many votes you can get (obviously).

The Voting Continues for the Black Diamond Boots Fire & EMS Blog of the Year Contest. Don't let any early leads make you complacent. Last year we saw some early leads and strong comebacks.
