Duncanville FD, along with Dallas FD, DeSoto FD, Cedar Hill FD and Ovilla FD responded to a 2 alarm structure fire in a shopping strip in Duncanville.

William Scott Tanksley, 40, was hit by a car last week while working a wreck on an icy overpass and knocked over the guardrail at the I-20/Spur 408 Interchange in Southwest Dallas.

Dallas Firefighter William Scott Tanksley, 40, Died in the Line of Duty last night while operating on an icy overpass in Dallas, Texas. Tanksley was a 14 year veteran of the department. He leaves behind a wife and three children between the ages 4-12. Tanksley was stationed at firehouse #12.

Dallas Firefighter Stanley Wilson, 51, was found after radioing an emergency transmission that he was trapped in an apartment fire. Over 150 Dallas firefighters battled the 6 alarm blaze. Wilson, a 28 year veteran of the department, was stationed at firehouse 53. Wilson was married with two teenage sons.

Dallas fire and police were called to the scene of a vehicle, parked in a parking lot, with dogs apparently in the trunk. The firefighters forced entry to the trunk to find two yorkshire terriers. The temperature was 61 degrees. The call came in from two brothers who were concerned when they heard the barking coming from a car parked. The owners were celebrating a birthday.

A huge fire tore through a Dallas apartment complex today. The building was three stories tall and located at 6050 Melody Lane in the Tealwood on the Creek community. The 40 displaced residents were kept warm in two DART buses.
