For the third time in two years a building on St. Jacques St. has been heavily damaged by fire. The fire at 31 St. Jacques St. began shortly before midnight on one of the upper floors of the six-storey building.

Surrey Fire Rescue and the RCMP are investigating after a large home went up in flames early Friday morning.

Thick smoke billowing from the house and drifting northwest brought out hundreds of spectators in the neighbourhood who watched firefighters assault the blaze with ground hoses and an aerial truck, which had been set up at Centennial Park for Canada Day festivities.

Toronto waking up to the acrid smell of smoke.The fire broke out just after 4 a.m. in the old Salad King building, part of which collapsed in April.Dozens of trucks and more than 100 firefighters were on scene.

Port Alberni firefighters are battling a fire in a housing complex on Eighth Avenue by Dogwood Street. It is unknown at this time whether all residents from the housing complex have been evacuated. The Port Alberni Fire Department had three trucks battling the fire, the call for which went out shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13.

This morning, I was checking out FiregroundVideo.com (another site I run that is auto-fed youtube videos on fire service topics). One video caught my eye about dancing firefighters. I watched it and it led me to Fashion on Fire (FashiononFire.com). Fashion on Fire is a charity event hosted by the Edmonton Firefighters. All I can say is WOW! These guys really know how to raise money, have fun, and entertain the crowd. These guys have obviously put a lot of time and effort into this event, choreographing, and practicing.

Firefighters in Kugluktuk, Nunavut Territory, Canada lose control of their hoseline just long enough to give another firefighter a huge spray of water right to the face. No doubt this had to hurt. I am just wondering why you would post this on the internet.
