20 engine companies and 5 ladder companies from Washington County, Berkeley County (WV), Jefferson County (WV), and Morgan County (WV) fought the fire. The building used to house Wolfe's on the Square and was currently L&J Liquors as well as apartments upstairs. News reports are mixed on 4 or 5 alarms total.

Seven homes were involved in a stubborn blaze that firefighters fought in Allentown today. The 3 Alarm fire brought all city units on scene. Both newsworking and firtog were on scene to get video. The fire occurred at the 500 Block of Washington St.

A Siberian firefighter, in the city of Magadan, trying to reach people trapped in a building is sent tumbling down the ladder after being hit by a chunk of snow falling from the roof while smoke is coming out of the windows. Thankfully, the firefighters were able to save a child, carrying the kid down the ladder.

Multiple calls came into the fire alarm office around 9:30 on Thurs Jan 10, 2013 for a building fire on Front St. Arriving companies saw heavy fire venting from the 1st floor extending to the 3rd floor of the 18 unit apartment complex with people running out of the building.

On Thursday December 20, 2012, The first winter storm of 2012 blew threw Mchenry with high winds, cold gusts and moderate snow. At 9pm, a report that sparks were seen along side the historical downtown Mchenry building where Windy City Wings was located came in to 911.

Backup crews from neighboring towns and Essex County had to be called in to help fight the flames and carry some people who were trapped inside the building to safety.
