October 7-8th was the 36th Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. 95 names of firefighters who died in the line of duty were added to the Memorial. 75 firefighters who died in 2016 and 20 who died in previous years. If I have learned anything from attending for the past several years, it is that 100’s of firefighters travel from all across the Nation to Honor our Fallen Firefighters and support their Survivors…They do it well, they do it for the right reason, and they do it selflessly and seamlessly. It is amazing at how much hard work and dedication goes into making sure the event is perfect…every year.
