The highlight of 2015 might be INDY on Fire, the party we through during FDIC. Look for another huge party this year.
Every year, I try to do a wrap-up article on the best of what The Fire Critic had to offer for the year. This year, I am incorporating the social media outlets in the article, because The Fire Critic is more of a community than simply the blog FireCritic.com.
This year might not have been the biggest for the blog, but overall it was a great year.
The travel was great! I had a blast everywhere I went. I meet the best the fire service has to offer across the US and I am humbled by so many who treat me like family. I would love to list all of you, but it simply wouldn’t be possible to remember EVERYONE who was a part of this community this year whether in person or remote. Thanks for the friendships!
Probably the biggest adventure this year has been creating EngineCoApparel.com. So far, it has been fun and exciting…but not easy in the least bit. We look forward to an awesome 2016!
The trips this year included:
March
Northern Michigan Fire Chiefs Conference
April
FDIC (Indianapolis)

I had a blast down in North Carolina a couple of times this past year. The crew of #1 took us out on the boat for a trip up and down the river. That was a blast!
May
Wilmington
FlameFest 2015 (West Virginia)
July
Westfield FD (Indiana)
August
SAFRE – (Raleigh, NC)
September
South Dakota Firefighters Benefit (Pierre)
Wayne County, OH Fire School
October
NFFF Memorial Weekend (Emmittsburg, MD)
November

If you put all of that together with my son’s lacrosse games, my daughters allstar cheerleading travel, and family travel…we stay on the road a little bit.
