Fire fighters were still on the scene of a deadly, fast moving fire in a Norristown apartment building, as the sun came up Wednesday.
Crews responded to the scene on the 600 block of Swede Street after a call came in at 12:44 a.m. Wednesday
The fire department believes the fire started in the basement, and made its way up through the buildings six stories, reaching the roof of the building.
One person is dead and 3 people, including a firefighter, were injured in a massive fire at an apartment building in Norristown.
The 4-alarm blaze broke out just before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Norris Apartments in the 600 block of Swede Street.
Firefighters responded to a report of fire in the basement. They arrived to find flames shooting from the second and third floors of the 6-story building.
