Fire Critic An Unadulterated View of the Fire Service
Three people were injured (the news reports “major injuries”) when the car they were in was rear ended by one Cal Fire engine and pushed into the back of another Cal Fire engine. All 8 firefighters were unharmed. Watch the news report below for more information. I would say by the looks of the car that these people were very lucky!
The wreck occurred on Highway 41 in Fresno.
A California Highway Patrol investigator says one fire truck was slowing for stopped traffic, but the second fire truck that was following was unable to stop in time and struck the rear end of a car. That car then smashed into the rear end of the first fire truck.
