Here is another new column here at the Fire Critic titled “Random Rigs” (Thanks Eddie Crombie). I hope to add more of this in the future. When I have enough photos for a “category” I will add another post. For instance, in two hours I received 31 photos for this column. Keep sending in photos of your rigs to firecritic@firecritic.com! I will add them to the next edition of “Random Rigs”.

Paramedic Joffre Schrandt sends this ambulance in and asks if it is ok because it is not red and white….Who is going to break it to him that this is indeed an ambulance?
The photo above and below are from FF Mike McCarthy of The Black Hat Radio Show. It is apparent by the top picture that Mike is afraid of this truck and will not get close to it to get a picture of it. Then again, by the bottom picture it is apparent they have been busy getting it ready for Christmas!
Firefighter/Paramedic Jon Dahlvig sent in his engine from Blue Mound (TX) Fire Department. On the door of the rig it says “Pride, Honor, Dedication, Compassion”…Ours says “Internationally Accredited”. I wonder which one means more to our citizens?
Paul Vanlook, Secretaris VZW, of FireObservers.org sent in this engine. This is the first out engine (first of three) at the Gavere, Belgium fire station.
Firefighter Craig Lairson sent in these photos from the City of Trotwood, Ohio. How come we spell ambulance backwards on the front of ambulances but we don’t spell stuff backwards on the front of fire apparatus?
