I think the easiest way to show success for FireCritic.com is to point out that at this same time last year there were merely 16k fans on The Fire Critic Facebook Page. As I write this, there are over 89,000 fans. That is amazing!

2012 was another great year in the books for myself, FireCritic.com, and for many of my friends. It amazes me how many great and wonderful people I get to network with throughout the year. Every day offers new experiences, meeting new people, celebrating accomplishments, and witnessing the best the Fire/EMS Service has to offer.

I am blessed. I never thought for a minute that FireCritic.com would rise to the status it has. I never estimated the network, reach, and friends I would make along the way. I also have never, and will never take a second of it for granted. I have made the greatest attempt to answer every email, twitter message, facebook message, text, and phone call. Some of you have even received an email from me months after correspondence. This is because I lost it in the shuffle but didn't want to forget about it after seeing it again.

This year at the Fire Critic has been one of growth, definition, and fun. I have a blast doing this blog and I am glad that my readers have seemed to enjoy it as well. This year, there has been significant growth in readership. I have also better defined exactly what I want to do with the Fire Critic Blog. Basically, the site is about the fire service and it brings news, videos, fun, humor, and networking among other aspects.
