FireCam 1080 footage from a house explosion on Agate Road in East Brunswick, NJ on September 18th, 2014. This video is simply my perspective of the scene covering the various jobs my crew and I (Brookview Volunteer Fire Company) were assigned during the incident including an initial face to face with the IC, water supply operations and eventually fire suppression/overhaul.

Leatherhead Mafia (FB - site) created the Bunker Drill Challenge. What a great and novel idea. This challenge doesn't only raise money for the NFFF, but it also gets you gearing up quickly (training) and only takes a minute.

What the fire service needs to know is when and where to get help...either for themselves or for others. It is OK to get help!

I am not certain that the firefighter is out of air, but it seems that way from the video and comments of bystanders in the video of him not having his face piece on. Either way, the firefighter was in need of assistance getting out of the building. There isn't much info on this other than it was in Newark, NJ on Fillmore Street this evening and a firefighter is trapped. Watch as the crews on scene work to get to the firefighter via extension ladder, aerial ladder, and from inside the structure. Also note what happens at 6:00 into the video. I imagine it became pretty intense on scene. The videographer notes that the fire was through the roof earlier although it is not caught on video.

Maybe you haven't heard how Willie Wines Jr. is the 5-time high school corn-hole champion...and he didn't pass the 10th grade... AND maybe you haven't heard how Anthony Bourdain stopped by my house without a reservation... AND maybe you haven't heard how WE created Carolina Barbecue by accident while playing shuffleboard on an aircraft carrier in the middle of a hurricane while getting a pedicure and drinking raw eggs.

We got to meet dozens of great couples. Firefighters and their exceptional wives from across the Country (although I don't think there are any boundries for joining the community)...from Florida to California, New Mexico to Minnesota. We got to hang out with great people and learn about them, get to know them, and get lost in Chicago with them. I met great firefighters and got to learn about their departments. There might have even been a few bromances created.

The Fire in Skeifunni is possibly the largest fire disaster in Iceland from fires in Rubber studio in 1989. This said firefighters at the scene of the news has spoken to tonight. The first mention of the fire spread from house fire Fannar an hour of eight o'clock.

On August 21, 2012, baby Kylie was born at home. Her mother had been carrying her for 26 weeks. Quick thinking just prior to Kylie's birth resulted in a 911 call that sent E13, M4, and RS-1 to the house. Engine 13 got there quickly. What we were met with we weren't prepared for...in fact, this is one of those calls that you are only prepared for IF you had run a similar call in the past (experience) and maybe not even then.
