South St. Louis House fire and Slatington, PA House Fire

I'll admit that I have slow days. However, I post when I am able to. I took the 24th and 25th off, but quickly caught up! You should be keeping up with me at least...yes I am speaking to both of you (my readers)! There are some other links in there from some other sites as well!

Maybe the answer to this is that there aren't more fires, just that the ones that happen seem worse because of the time of year. Below are some of the ones captured on video. As well as some other links....

UNION CITY, Erie County — Crews from more than 20 fire departments around the region spent hours Thursday battling a blaze that heavily damaged a former Union City factory that’s been used as a small business incubator in recent years.

We have all been on a fire that was difficult. Maybe not because of the size of the building or the size of the fire. Maybe it was due to tactics. Maybe it was due to construction or added components inside that we didn't realize or plan for. Maybe it was because we thought we would kick the fires ass and be back sitting drinking coffee quickly. For whatever the reason, we have all been on one of those fires.

The box was transmitted at 14:39 for a house fire at 10 School Street for a report of a stove fire. Companies 2 and 18 respond. Upon arrival, command reported a working fire in a two and a half story duplex. The videographer arrived early and went to the rear of the building where the fire engulfed the entire fire building.

On November 12th around 4am, Granville (WV) firefighters responded to a house fire in Maidsville. Granville, Star City, Westover, Cassville, and Mount Morris (PA) departments responded to the fire. There were no injuries and the fire is being investigated by the WV State Fire Marshal's office.

Two firefighters were taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, Uptown, for treatment of cuts and burns suffered while trying to douse the flames, which heavily damaged the rowhouse at the corner of Mound Street and Fourth Avenue, a block from the fire station.
