This Event was truly a blessing to attend. In 16 years of firefighting I have been to many conferences, conventions, and gatherings of all sorts. I have seen our Brotherhood fired up about the job, but never seen a venue with spouses and significant others that were so fired up, supportive of their firefighter, and willing to dedicate the time.

On Friday night during FDIC, we throw the biggest and best party during FDIC at The Crane Bay behind Lucas Oil Stadium. This year, for the first time, Roanoke, VA (my hometown) will be hosting an NFFF 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. The climb will be in the tallest building in Roanoke, the Wells Fargo Tower. The event is spear-headed by FF Peter Matthiessen, and I know it is in capable hands.

Fire Shot with the New HD Firecam May 3rd 2015, Richmond California Engine Co. 67 Takes New Rookie Jessica Wraa in on one of her first interior attacks. Captain Marc Lucero, Jessica Wraa and Ben Faulkner make an interior attack on a garage fire on the south side of town. This was one of three fires the rookie had in three days. Fun part of this video is when the Truck Co loses their rubbish hook thru the hold while doing some roof work. We didn't complain to them just thanked them and used the tool!

As in the past, we arrive in Indianapolis on Wednesday. We got into town promptly and headed to the convention hall to meet up with some of our clients. We fit in some time for a blogger meetup with 1st Arriving Network, and then it was off to the Indy FOOLS Brotherhood Bash.

I'm getting all geared up for Flamefest 2015. I will be attending with my lovely Wife. If you haven't already signed up, you should look into this very unique event hosted by FirefighterWife.com. My wife, Becky, and I attended last year in Chicago and managed to form lasting friendships with other firefighters and their wives from across the Country. Trust me, this is an event you do not want to miss.

First of all, Indy on Fire will be the largest party in Indy held on Friday night! It is hosted by FireCritic.com, IronFiremen.com,FirefighterWife.com, and ModelCityFirefighter.com. Myself, Willie, Lori, and Andrew have been spending the past several months planning this event and we are happy with the results.
