One of two fires last night in Richmond. Not all fires go smoothly and this was definitely was one that provided some challenges. Reported elderly couple inside confirmed by bystander on arrival. Difficult stretch with a house packed with furniture and stuff with rapidly building heat conditions. The rapid build up of high heat conditions forced crews out (Modern fuels). Engine 67 with Jessica Wraa Capt. Marc Lucero and Anthony Woodards FF Ben Faulkner and Donnie Rath were force out only to regroup and complete the knock down.

On Saturday, October 17th, Marshall Fire Protection District was dispatched to a structure fire with heavy smoke showing. Upon arrival, crews found a mobile home fully engulfed with a small shed also consumed with fire. Firefighters mounted an exterior attack with two 1 3/4" handlines and quickly knocked the bulk of the fire. The cause of the fire was believed to be a wood stove located directly adjacent to the mobile home.

This video shows doing a lot with a little in rural America. No further information on this fire.

Pleasant Hill FD in Eastern Wilkes County, NC fought this fire this past Wednesday. Units arrived to find a single story dwelling well involved. Firefighters made a quick exterior knockdown using an 1 3/4" line and a 2" line (pictured in the video). One crew made an quick primary search of the south end of the home.

This video was captured via a helmet camera of a well-involved single story, single family dwelling in the 5500 block of Ardelle Ave, Stockton, CA. This video follows a firefighter dropped at a hydrant, who then follows the long supply line back to the fire building.

Houston Fire Station 61 house fire with trapped animals. 8 animals were inside. We were able to save 4 of them. 2 dogs and 2 cats.
