This morning, just after 5am, Oakland Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Pearl Street. Upon arrival, crews found a working fire with people trapped. Engine 1, Engine, 15, Engine 10, Truck 4 and Battalion 2 were initially dispatched. Command requested an additional engine and truck when rescues were confirmed. E5 and Truck 1 responded as the additional units.

Tuesday night firefighters were dispatched to Rockdale Road in North Whitehall for a reported structure fire. While enroute do to numerous calls a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Once on scene crews had a fully involved structure and requested multiple tankers to assist with water supply and put master streams in service.

This video shows you what firefighters face during a structural fire and shows how rapidly a fire can progress and extend to exposure buildings. It also shows what the conditions are inside of a burning building and can give you an inside perspective of a fire.

Helmet Cam footage from Champions Tanker 21 crew on a fire in Warren Township 3/17/2016. Tanker 21 was the second due company and initiated a blitz attack before interior ops began. After about 10 minutes of interior work, crews were pulled from the interior due to a partial collapse of the second floor. No one was home at the time, and no injuries were sustained.

However, the word "Safe" could have been replaced with "Smart" and even the dumb firefighters who think that "Safe" is trying to keep us all in the yard would understand it's intentions...even if they can't comprehend what the knowledge means. All we can hope for is that they have strong leaders.

Firefighters from eight Sheboygan County fire departments battled a 1 alarm fire at Carlton Automotive, 1318 Center Avenue in Oostburg, Wisconsin on Saturday, January 23, 2016.

One of two fires last night in Richmond. Not all fires go smoothly and this was definitely was one that provided some challenges. Reported elderly couple inside confirmed by bystander on arrival. Difficult stretch with a house packed with furniture and stuff with rapidly building heat conditions. The rapid build up of high heat conditions forced crews out (Modern fuels). Engine 67 with Jessica Wraa Capt. Marc Lucero and Anthony Woodards FF Ben Faulkner and Donnie Rath were force out only to regroup and complete the knock down.

On 01/06/2016 at 0928 - The Yorkville Fire Department along with Whitesboro Fire (1 Engine to the scene) and New York Mills Fire Department (1 Engine to standby at their station) was dispatched to a reported Structure Fire with entrapment at 2201-2203 Whitesboro Street the Village of Yorkville.
