City of Waukesha House Fire (8-02-2015)

Fire destroys 2 Waukesha dwellings, damages 2 others

A wind-blown fire possibly touched off by a wind-toppled barbecue grill destroyed a Waukesha duplex and damaged two others on Sunday evening, according to the Waukesha Fire Department.

The Fire Department was called just before 6 p.m. to 1305 Falls Court, and crews arrived to find heavy fire and smoke, driven by strong winds, according to a news release from Battalion Chief Mark Sweet. All the residents had safely left the building, but both floors and the attic were ablaze, and crews were ordered out of the building.
