I’m not sure if these are Richmond or Chesterfield crews on scene handling this incident. Apparently, someone jumped from the bridge and was then rescued. VA State Police Helicopter was called in to rescue and landed directly on the rocks of the James River. Pretty decent rescue if you ask me.

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A person was airlifted from the middle of the James River Wednesday morning in Richmond. CBS 6 photojournalist Chris Munnings captured the rescue on video from the Powhite Parkway.

The person who was rescued had jumped into the river off of the Powhite Parkway bridge, according to witnesses. After floating down the river 100 – 150 feet, the person ended up on a rock.
