Fire Critic An Unadulterated View of the Fire Service

Video shows Wylie’s standard “fast attack” deployment on a single family dwelling fire. The fire originated in the kitchen area around midnight on May 3rd 2015. Fire was contained to one side of the house. There were no injuries. First arriving crews employed PPA ventilation tactics, with 2 – CAFS handlines utilizing TFT CAFS force nozzles and Novacool A/B foam for primary attack. Fire was through the roof over the original fire compartment and was consuming the attic upon arrival. Crews were able to clear the structure quickly, and saved most of the structure by cutting the fire off.
