Video: 2 Alarm Apartment Fire in Bellmawr, NJ. Plenty of Roof Ops Action on this one

Video by: Curt Hudson. Video info: A two-alarm fire heavily damaged one building at the Bellmawr Manor Apartments in Bellmawr, NJ on Saturday afternoon, March 1, 2014. At least eight units were damaged or destroyed as fire rapidly ran the cockloft. Ladder companies were finally able to get a trench cut made and stopped the progress of the fire. Twenty-one people were displaced, but no injuries to civilians or emergency personnel.

A two-alarm blaze at a Bellmawr apartment complex damaged eight residences and displaced 19 people Saturday.

Firefighters arrived at the Bellmawr Manor complex along Kings Highway shortly after 4:10 p.m and found heavy fire conditions in the attic space above the second floor.

Camden County Chief Fire Marshal Paul Sandrock said fire crews were forced to back out as the roof started to collapse.
