It appears as though a tire/wheel blows while firefighters are battling this fire that has engulfed a shuttle bus. I am sure that this startled the firefighters…I know it would have caught me off-guard. Another great reason to ensure you are wearing your PPE!

SAN DIEGO – A shuttle bus caught fire Thursday in Sorrento Valley, leaving behind a charred mess.
The bus, owned by Qualcomm, was shuttling 8 to 10 people at about 8:30 a.m. when it stopped at a red light at the corner of Lusk Boulevard and Wateridge Circle. Officials told 10News the engine began to overheat, and suddenly the passenger cabin began to fill with smoke.
Carla Bohnet said she was standing nearby and watched as the bus driver made his move, first trying to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher, and then evacuating his passengers.
