Fire Critic An Unadulterated View of the Fire Service

January 7, 2014 – The Lakewood Fire Department is on scene of a fully engulfed structure fire on Pine Street. Dozens of emergency personnel are on scene battling the fire, which also set fire to nearby wires. One person was reportedly severely burned from the fire, and is being hospitalized. A Medevac initially called – and which landed in Lakewood – was cancelled, apparently due to miscommunication.
