I will be busy this next week and a half. Posting will be minimal. If anyone has a story/news item/video to share please let me know. Feel free to take a shot at ghost riding The Fire Critic by sending in a guest post (I will publish most anything!). Email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here is a question for you to ponder and comment!
Is there rank in the firehouse kitchen? Should the Captain be exempt from cleaning up?
I have heard horror stories of the Captain picking the meals but not actually cooking. I have heard horror stories of the Captain not cleaning up after dinner….EVER.
What do you think?
I have always maintained that if you cook you do not clean. Anyone is welcome to cook and fair game if they mess it up. Much like everything in the fire service”what goes around, comes around”. You have to be able to take it if you are going to dish it out!
Does your company officer help out? Should he/she? Would you if you were in their shoes?
Or when firefighters step into the kitchen should we remove our bugles first?
